Correspondence with 100proofnews.com/highwinds-media regarding spam via that server
All mails were sent by abpeaf-moderator@operamail.com representing
the newsgroup alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.asian-female whose charter and FAQ
(which can be viewed at http://www.angelfire.com/punk/abpeaf/abpeaf.html) prohibit
the sending of spam.
1573 (!) spam abuse reports were sent by me since December 2005,
one report for each spam post.
Several times I have tried to get in contact with 100proofnews, but except for one reply early January, stating that they were having trouble catching up, all my efforts were ignored.
ALL those spam post originate from one source, the Asian spammer with the dubious domains (see here) and it simply cannot be that for almost three months 100proofnews is not able to deal with him. This spammer is about the only spam source left in my group, but he is posting almost on a daily basis (sometimes sending up to five spam posts a day).
Thanks to the help of the good people at news.admin.net-abuse.policy 100proofnews finally decided to do what they should have long ago. The spammer then tried out several servers (who were astonishigly quick and helpful) until he seemed to have found a new cozy home at active-news.com (which has been known as a spam server for along time) and Athenanews. For several months there was a continuing charade of the spammer changing between Athenaws and 100proof. Right now he's back with his old friends at 100proof and highwinds-media.
Ah, highwinds-media, the REAL source of the problem. IMPORTANT: 100proofnews is a reseller of highwinds-media and THEY are responsible for fighting the spam.
And abpeaf is not the only group hit by the spam from 100proofnews.Judging from the posts it is the same spammer,as you can see here.

Due to a work-related absence I was not able to send abuse reports for a month but the spam continued in the same fashion during that period.
